Just in case anyone wanted an update on LH's refund policies, I thought I'd just give a semi-friendly reminder from today's correspondence:

I'm not really that mad about it - and given the history of comments on the issue of refunds, it's really not wholly unexpected. The response is rhetorically pleasant enough, like most semi-canned business responses, but it's full of pure bullshit and falls apart on closer examination. Pushing back development and production? But isn't this update from 8 days ago a picture of all of the completed circuits and batteries awaiting their remodeled chassis? (Which, since they're supposed to be delivered with their new casing at the end of November - in two weeks - shouldn't the remaining components already be purchased and ordered with production underway?)

Beyond that, I know that other people have obtained refunds from LH for other IndieGoGo campaigns. There have been various anecdotal accounts of refunds on on the Wave campaign, reports of refunds of shipping costs and partial shipping costs (like this guy), refunds on extra customs charges, refunds on LPS upgrades, this person's experience - and Amos's early refund (first mentioned here)- and also Kirosia's experience over here.

I guess I'm just posting this because, while I really like how their products sound (I was trying to cancel in part because I'm actually completely satisfied with the performance of my V2 Infinity), I'm just continuously disappointed by the way LH does business. In the future, I won't be supporting any established company that uses IndieGoGo to crowd fund projects. The platform encourages bad behavior and completely disempowers customers. Part of this is a problem with how LH does business, but I think the broader issue is the crowdfunding system itself.

It's not just an issue about refunding - LH's warranty policy seems to be inconsistent.

Whilst publicly their stance has been that the warranty only applies to the original owner of the unit i.e. non-transferable, there have been a couple of instances where some individuals seem to have been told differently through direct contact with CS.

Latest example on HF classifieds today:
    http://www.head-fi.org/t/787994/lh-labs-pulse-source-4tb-plus-with-femto-and-power-and-cap-upgrades

Regarding refunds. I guess it's pretty obvious why they'd refuse any refunds. One look at the HF threads on LH products and it's apparent that a large majority of backers of their unfulfilled products would abandon ship once presented a chance. It's not a case that the can't accommodate some refunds. Most likely they understand the general sentiment and know that they won't be able to cover all the refund requests that they'd be inundated with.

So if I am reading this properly you need the + version if you want to use it with a mobile (does not supply bus power) device yes?

Just checking as I think I may experiment using this with the DJay app as an ultra mobile DJ solution. I'm already thinking of how I'm going to explain how a 24/96 needledrop played out of the V2 will sound better then Serato with a flashy controller and godawful $0.02 DAC inside it. (assuming it works well anyhow :))

Are the early impressions of the V2 w/ the HD650 balanced sticking? I'm torn whether to go that way or Schiit Modi/Magni Uber Stack. It would be nice to have the V2's portability though...

I have the regular GO V2 (not the V2+), and it works connected directly to a friend's Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

A ZTE Zmax also provides enough power out of its microUSB port to power on the V2; unfortunately, the Zmax runs Android KitKat, so no USB Audio straight out of the stock Zmax using the GO V2.

The microUSB ports on a LG G4 and Moto E 2nd gen do not provide enough current to even power on the V2. Once the V2 is plugged into a powered hub, I have no problems getting the V2 to work with either. I'm awaiting an OTG Y microUSB power cable to get the V2 to work with the G4 and Moto E 2nd gen in conjunction with a portable power bank.

I'm completely happy with the performance of my geek out v2 also*, but I think I'm done with crowdfunding and long term preorders in general.
(it doesn't work with my wyrd for some reason and one led is dead)

Has anyone seen how those of us with the original case can swap for the new one? This just seems to be about the new production cases.

Open a support ticket via their web site (not email) and Gina will be in touch.
    Thanksgiving holiday permitting.

I was about to come post pics since Larry texted them to me but it looks like they posted them online after I got them.

I do have this shot of the Vi DAC being tested, though:[IMG]

While the delay sucked, I gotta say the new V2+ case is a huge step up from the regular V2 case.

Couldn't agree more. The new case looks like a slick slab of wetware!
