The tour is now underway.

So with the JAR600 being up for a Schlong award this seems to be a great time to offer a loaner tour for it.

I have my old trusty JAR600 V1 that @Azimuth sold me. It's silver screen so basically current production as far as we know. I'm sure there's plenty written on this site about it and any praise is well deserved.

I also just received the first B version of a JAR600 today so while I'm going to listen for a few days before sending it out, the world needs to hear this mod. This 600 happens to be a black silk baffle.

As far as the new mod which you won't find reviews of yet (that's your job, Mr Loaner Participant Man), it's really good! It focuses the sound, increases the stage, makes the sound very nimble, totally removes any veil whatsoever, very good imaging, really brings it toward the 800. Bigger stage than 600 but not cavernous like the 800. Very big changes here.

One thing I will say about the B version is that the driver is very exposed so PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE LOANER IF YOU CAN'T BE CAREFUL WITH IT. Like at my house I know it's not a problem but giving this headphone to a dozen random internet people has to come with a warning. Be cool and don't shove your fingers or anything else where you shouldn't. Please.

Also I will add that this headphone scales like a mofo. Both of them but I'm listening to the new one while writing this. From a TOTL stack you won't be wondering exactly what the singer said. It's all laid bare and has texture for days.

P.S. To save money on shipping use UPS through Shippo or Pirateship. If you buy the UPS label (and $600 insurance) there, you will save a bunch of money vs buying shipping directly from UPS. It also costs you nothing to sign up etc so don't pay more than you have to for shipping. Also please no USPS.

Ahhh man! I'm signed up for the JAR650 tour and don't think I have time to take on another. I hope to hear the other peoples thoughts on the JAR650 and JAR600. I have older 600's and 650's, but feel like the 600 could benefit more than the 650.

Hey @Erroneous, I don't know how I missed this, but I'm interested, too! On hand right now I've got JAR650, Custom Cans Mod HD600 (silver screen), and bone stock HD600 black screen to compare.

Both headphones shipping out to @caute tomorrow morning to kick off the tour. I am including a stock XLR and a stock 1/4" that should both travel with the headphones.

Edit: saw how the delicate/intricate JAR mods actually are, and how exposed it makes the headphones, will definitely be these as pristine as possible and not touching anywhere near the drivers...
