I forgot to show that! It's anodized blue, the same color as the liner lock 20240511_212916.jpg

That really is a thing of beauty. But would you use it in the rough old world out there? I think I'd be wanting to keep it pristine.

Or perhaps the materials and finish are actually really tough?

Except for the blade, it's pretty much all grade 5 titanium, so fairly robust and a lot more scratch resistant than grade 2. Definitely more of a city life EDC knife. If I go out into the woods or something, I will carry my Spyderco Para 3. I had never had a custom/semi-custom knife before, so I just bought this on a whim as a "beautiful thing".

Which requires no other justification. A lovely thing to own :)

Ironically the most often used cork screw in houshold.

Yeah some folks were hoarding it soon after, but didn't some other manufacturer buy their assets and intellectual property? Would be a shame to see it disappear since it was "the new hotness" etc.

I have a Magnacut folding knife and paring knife, both from North Arm Knives in BC. I was kinda planning to get their chef knife and santoku in the future... was waiting until the santoku switched over too but maybe that won't happen now. Apparently they are playing around with some new designs too that I'm looking forward to. Their paring knife is my favourite of the three that I have.

Looks like the powder metallurgy patents - the part likely of most interest to folks here - have been sold. What happens to the mill and the rest of the physical assets I guess is still to be determined.
