Or, looking at the picture, cheap vacuum tube socket savers? I know it was a little difficult to get the tubes out from the case. Anyone with experience using a tube saver - can you still using a rocking motion to remove these?

Yeah, the tubes were always tough to get out of that amp. I used a piece of packing tape wrapped around the end of the tube, leaving a "tab" at the end to get a better grip and then the rocking motion you describe.

Asking the seller to just switch tubes (and savers) from one side to the other would give you the answer.

New old stock Cavalli Liquid Carbon:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Cavalli-Liquid-Carbon/174286265476

I know the price is pretty much the same as an LC-X from Drop, posting anyway.
(PS - I already purchased one form the seller and found out that these were are from the leftover stock from when Cavalli Amps closed their doors and the units are un-serialized.)

Hi, any issues from the un-serialized liquid carbon? Is it version 1 or 2? I am planning to get one but hold back because of the issues I read. I hope you can tell more about it. Thanks

From what can tell if the faceplate, it's V1, only because the volume indicator.

There is a board inspection from initial testing dated 2016. However, no other indicators anywhere that says V1 or V2. I'm not sure what even changed between the two versions electronically.

No issues to report. Sounds and works great! Athough before I even turned mine on I did clean mine with rubbing alcohol, a Q-tip, and a nylon brush to clean the Flux and residue off the bottom board as I read the metal dust caused issues as it got between some of the chip pins.

I would have jumped on one of those in a heartbeat. The LC v1 is an amp I will always hold onto and a crazy good deal for around $200. Also had the v1, v2 and LCX at the same time and the LCX wasn't nearly as good as the v1 or v2. Very similar results when I had both a Liquid Crimson and Liquid Platinum. The LP was good, but not nearly as good as the Crimson.
