Verum Audio - Exciting high performance DIY planar

I'll discuss possible variant with community.

I've already explained on Head-Fi that Verum is a bit of crowd-designed product. I'm grateful to anyone who is interested in this project (no matter will this person support it with $$$ or just with a comment in forum thread) but I must say that 3 members of SBAF: @cskippy , @Hands and @purr1n helped to fine tune these headphones. So it is my form of "Thanks" to them.

I'm not sure the mods over there can wipe all the blasphemous SBAF references...

Well as long as you achieve your Kickstarter goals, which I think you will, it doesn't matter much in the long run.

 

I will say that while I commiserate to an extent and don't wish to rub it in, I feel compelled to point out that the one individual who takes pride in themselves as a collector COLLECTOR of headphones's saying that there's more value in the stock form than in a forum-exclusive variant seems to be well-versed in mental gymnastics.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a dick for saying that I think, but the rationalisation there is a bit surprising is all.

 

Appreciate your sincerity, mate. But I think it is better for you to provide equal treatments to all buyers. I'm saying this because I want your product to succeed. You need all the supporters you can get there.

 

I don't think that a simple "thank you" has conflict with equal treatment of all buyers.
Maybe I just have another attitude to such things.

 

You can find the almost-mistakable Golden Schlong of the awards in this post. Subtle enough to be suitable.

 

At this point you better just sell equal to everyone and then later sell SBAF grills for those who are interested.

That will clear all and avoid further butt-hurtness.

 

I wan't headphones to work long and good. That's why I don't want users to disassemble them. But @purr1n disassembled them during first day I guess?
Anyway that will not void warranty unless membrane will have physical damage.

 

Selling equally will avoid any type of conflit. Sell or give (to those who play postage) the sbaf grills as an extra. Situation solved.

 

I couldn't foresee that post on SBAF will reflects as a disturbance on Head-Fi ;(

Haven't said anything yet, but have been observing the developments with interest since it blew up here. @Garuspik congrats on the launch (I'm in); here's hoping that the KS can get this project off the ground and rolling long-term.

I love how this thread evolved and how the members here gave so great feedback to such a humble hardworking guy whom I wish all the success to shake up the market a bit. I backed your project as well.
