What are you listening to right now?

Listening to an older physical DISC with the RAAL VM-1A & SR-1A system, while not perfect I quite like this album! I'm also hearing a surprising amount of "whispers" on a few tracks! Mostly count downs, but it's a detail I've not heard b4 so I have to acknowledge the SR-1A's supreme blend of detail and tone with the VM-1A amp behind it

All in all tho I'm looooooving it! I think this system has dethroned the spot K1000 and WA33 held for best sound with this album

 

Maybe it's just me, but I find the guitar quite aggressive on this one...which I like very much.

@ColtMrFire I still own and listen to many of Supertramp's early albums. Also saw them twice live. They were excellent in concert. Your post brought back some good memories.

Heard this tune on a PA the other day. Had no idea what it was; never heard it when it was new. In fact, I assumed it was a 2022 tune.

I still find it amusing the bass line was lifted from a late-70s disco single.

This is the kind of stuff that keeps me coming back to this thread...

 

This disco beat is quite a bit faster than the Stereo MC's beat. I also don't hear those 2 beats as being the same (speed aside).

I could be wrong. I'm hardly an expert on rhythm....
