I forgot there was a home page, I never go to it

It’s a round up of recent threads in the forum, not a paid advertisement.

if it were an impressions thread started by a member I wouldn't have a problem with it, but it's just an ad from the vendor, putting that on the homepage is something we make fun of headfi for doing.

Just a factor of how the software is, or is configured. Maybe they can filter MOT out of the feed to the Home Page.

I didn't actually know we had a Home Page.

Wow… that’s wild. I hate the home page TBH. I sometimes accidentally go there when I hit home instead of forums. Wish the home page was still just the forums.

I guarantee there is a well thought out reason for this exception. Try to let this one go, SBAF is not turning into Head-fi don't worry.

I figure the homepage is a necessary SEO evil. And while *ideally* such content or ads don't appear anywhere on the site, you can't possibly run a site like this without someone footing a big bill in cash/time. Which is why I don't begrudge this site being $ponsored, or even the occasional MOT thread, bc unlike sales-fi, we all see the benefit. Now I'd feel differently if MOT content wasn't clearly labeled as such.

I didn't know this was an option. Regardless, we will not be doing this.
