Now that they're leveraging the full power of advertising they have the money to just send someone to your house. He should be there shortly.

    Head-Fi update sucks.

Took me a while to find account settings and my usual starting point Subscribed threads.

For anyone still wishing to visit Head-Fi and that uses Subscribed Threads, now called Watched Threads, here is the link you can use as a bookmark:

@cskippy thanks for that. I couldn't find a way to get to the subscriptions from a menu. Is there a way? Maybe that's broken atm. Also, I don't know if my massive block list is still in force :)

The overall style, layout and function of Head-Fi is so bad at this point that there's not a lot of point even trying to deal with it for me. It's not even down to it being buggy and needing tweaked; it's just awful ... apparently by design. I though the recent Computer Audiophile re-design was pretty lame, but it wasn't this bad.

Ah well, it was only the occasional opportunity to flick a towel at the bollocks of a tiger and the trade section that was useful anyway. I'll miss Jason and Mike's threads, but as good as they are, I prefer to steer clear of visually-induced migraine's and early-onset blindness.

The only way I found after many frustrating minutes of clicking around was to click on "Account Alerts" up at the very top right.

I was already only going to HF once a month or so, mainly just to see if any companies were offering some kind of giveaway or deal. Now I just won't bother.

Thanks @cskippy . I was there and then couldn't remember how I got there.

Jason's and baldr's blog will keep me coming back to HeAD-Fi. I have also been enjoying your excellent work on the Monolith 1060. I ended up just searching on the cskippy posts in that thread. Needles in the HeAD-Fi hay stack!

I haven't found "search this thread" or "advanced search" since the update though.

I did see that @Torq has been enlightening people already. (I have a feeling that they won't appreciate it though.):

Edit: "Account Alerts" worked for me the first time. Now it just gives me "You do not have any recent alerts."
I put https://www.head-fi.org/f/watched/threads/all in my profile post to keep it handy.

Also, I'm not getting the dating ads. Ad Blocker Plus shows 2 ad blocks per page. It must be the girly ads. The audio ads sure come through fine.

Oh, I'm on mobile right now, so I don't even have that :p
My wife might not be happy with all the blatant dating adverts.

I'm curious what that experience was. This certainly wasn't mine. Actually the avatar was making some odd point.

I see that the Sponsors tab is not working. I'm sure that is priority #1. Deleting mentions of SBAF is probably priority #2.

Probably a lot of this when the new layout was proposed over there...

Wasn't my experience at UCLA either, but I was in the social sciences.

Is this the customer service thread for HF? Now where is the Subscriptions' New Posts in the mobile site? I feel very alienated even after I had to change my password because it didn't accept my old password. If Jude is reading this, can you please clarify? ;) :) ;)

Same thing works for mobile as it does on desktop mode. Just hit the drop down menu and click account alerts where it says,"You have 0 unread private messages, and 0 account alerts".

It's stupid, but it's the only way I've found to get there. I've since re-bookmarked Head-Fi with "All Watched Threads" to make it easier to access threads of interest.

Normally when you revamp a site's look it's supposed to be either an aesthetic or functional upgrade. All I see is a massive wall of ads on the right-hand side and bottom, plus some random content that, going by the responses on here, are gonna be heavily editorialised.

Welp, this dude's gonna close that tab now and put some music on.

Also, dear bejeebus the forums look... weird. I like the new off-white theme but TOO MANY ADS.

Cool, a site re-grand opening fitting for the clientele it purports to serve.

I think I know what he's talking about. But I was there before the school was overrun by Asians. ;)

I see all the "Ignored Users" got blown up in the update as well.

Funny to briefly see the "I'm so discerning that I must loudly, and frequently, proclaim that I can only deal with a top-of-the-line STAX setup with BHSE fed with a DAVE for my 10 dB dynamic-range anime-soundtrack-fappery/bootleg cassette metal" types now extolling the virtues of entry-level gear.

Let's see ... what's easier ... adding all of those wankers back to the ignore or just giving up and not going back?

I had a lot of images/albums uploaded over there... I have no idea how to even access that anymore.

I have to ask: Is this another Judas trolling account? The diction patterns seem eerily similar to those of @Johan.

Oh, good, so I'm not the only one getting seizures from this thing (the original f**k is on the bottom of the ad-fi page and it's animated):
