    Looks like Campfire's approach of TAEC is similar to 64 Audio's new TIA system, forgoing traditional tubes and sculpting the sound with a metal chamber. These buzzwords have me buzzed. Looking forward to impressions from some SBAF veterans.

    I'm having @CEE TEE get in touch with Caleb at Campfire Audio. Either a loaner or we buy one of them. I'm tending toward Vega because there has never been a hybrid that I have liked, but of all folks, I'd probably trust Campfire Audio the most to pull it off.

    am I reading CA wrong, thought the Dorado (not Vega) had the dynamic + BA driver hybrid?
    that Dorado model / price has my ears ready for a Loaner Tour for sure!

    You're right, the Dorado is the hybrid, but the Vega is what I'm most curious about once people start listening to them.

    Jude's video make the Vegas sound like Flare IEM signature. I like the Flares a lot except they lack some treble extension.

    Can a single driver technically cover the whole audible frequency range as well as multiple drivers?

    Damn, just when I received my Andromeda yesterday...

    If the Vega is indeed less lean and bright than Andro, then the Vega may be more suited to my taste. (sigh)

    Hi guys! 1st time poster here. Shotgunshane reccomended I join this forum when we were messaging on HF. Reckons you guys are cool people, so cheers shotgun!

    My knowledge is very limited on Audio im new to it.

    However, I have been following ALO and Empire Ears for a while. Im pretty sure the new IEM's aren't neccesarily replacement flagship but a TOTL IEM with a different flavour DD vs BA vs Hybrid. May be wrong though, but this vega has got me seriously wanting going off the love for Andro, headfi initial impression vid and ALO webpage explanation of it.

    Would need it to pair well with my mojo and sound exceptional for rock, vocals and rap/RnB lol

    There's a post on that other site saying that KB has said the Vega are best with a lot of juice and balanced. Not sure if the ZX2 would be the best pairing.

    I also have a Pono, which has both a lot of juice and runs balanced (and I have a balanced cable for it with MMCx connectors). I'll definitely have some A/Bing to do once I get the IEMs.

    The one complaint I have with the Andromedas is how sensitive they are to OI. They were perfect with my iPhone 6S but now with my iPhone 7 and near 0 OI I could use a bit more treble and less bass. I know mega #firstworldproblem. At least the dynamic driver will be more stable with OI.

    iFi's IEMatch might be what you need to balance that FR again. It made my GOV2+ (0.5 OI) FR about the same as my iPhone 6+.
