    Should have known that within a month of buying a Gungnir Multibit that the DAC I was hoping would be made would be announced.

    Yeah, yeah, my DAC doesn't all of a sudden sound worse, but the perceived value of what I got for my money just dropped (especially if I want Unison when available since it has to be installed by Schiit).

    How does the output stage compare to the original Bifrost MB and the Gungnir MB/Yggdrasil?

    Oh, and is it still 4X oversampling, like the Modi and original Bifrost, or 8X?

    Does it at all address some of the claimed limitations of the SE outputs from the larger DACs?

    And I should have just posted a second time rather than edit my post, but was curious if it's using 4X OS like the Modi/Original Bifrost or 8X like the bigger DACs.

    8X. It's the Gungnir DACs, just 2 of the lower-grade ones (AD5781ARUZ) versus 4 of the higher-grade ones (BRUZ).

    A full APx555 report is up on the site. The measured performance of SE and balanced is identical, other than level (balanced is 6dB hotter.)

    Actually, anyone who purchased a Bifrost or Bifrost upgrade is eligible. So even if you bought a used Bifrost and added Gen 2 USB way back when for $70, you qualify.

    Ah, I thought the 4X was some sort of cost or space saving measure for the lower two models regardless of the DACs.

    This is awesome. I'd been lamenting to @famish99 lately that I was curious about Bifrost Multibit, as I've heard or owned all the schiit Multibit dacs except Beefroast. It's always been this weird darkhorse of the schiit multibits with a weird reputation.

    Not sure this can dissuade me from getting Gungnir Multibit back in a few weeks though. But always a treat to see new schiit stuff drop.
