    @ButtUglyJeff I'm assuming you're asking about the CIEM? It's not a CA product, Aurisonics. The company merged with fender so can't get a hold of them. Quite disappointed actually cuz I loved the pair. Might still try to hunt them down but this is a nice excuse to get the revered Andromedas.

    Kept it on and music playing through headphones overnight..so far so good. Probably gonna play safe and go with popular tubes first, although that doesn't look like a tube problem

    haha thanks for the link, didn't know there's a song with that title. I took this handle on some random forum when I was 15, been sticking with it since then on every forum, don't even know where it came from. I was never a fan ob Rob Zombie, or White Zombie, or any zombie for that matter. I guess it was a phase.....of coming up with unique (lame) handles.

    Well in general metal is poorly recorded (except some prog metal albums), but if I really want a taste of Vinyl I'd rather open with Maiden heh.

    Yeah my friend and I both tried right on time. I couldn't even get in. Luckily she got 2, that too floor! Tool, Metallica, and Iron Maiden within two weeks of each other, gonna be a kickass summer

    @MrTie that makes sense, I think the massive soundstage helps locating the bass notes better too. So far not that impressed with 650, need to get modding.

    @Deep Funk I think HD800S are the first headphones where the price tag seemed justified to me from the word go. Can you believe these were an impulse buy? I went to just "try out" a bunch of headphones and ended up purchasing them. Walked around the block outside the store a few times thinking about what I just did. Had to sell most of my other audio stuff to recover the money, totally worth it.

    Sometimes a headphone sounds right and you are done. It is really that simple. I cannot part with my PortaPro for instance. I have better headphones but still, it sounds so right.
