It is almost always the same play list. Last year I heard "If I Die Young" and "Let Her Go" so many times I contemplated putting Slayer on the play list just to mess with people.

"Shape Of You" sounds too loud. It could be worse as in Audioslave bad levels...

For me, it was the "For Your Ears Only" album by Bentley Rhythm Ace. It's mixed like the Jotunheim sound stage- very flat and in your jawline, plus a lot of the sounds are incredibly dry, like completely unsweetened sample triggers hanging in space.

Weirdest damn thing, and completely different to the usual brickwall mastering complaints.

The latest (OMM) didn't impress me at the beginning because it's "un-OneRepublic". Native is good "OneRepublic"-styled album. Yeah, I quite enjoy the last 2 album. It's good to take a break from wailing, crying "OneRepublic".

I did try Andro. Everything was almost perfect, but the sound is still BA. Not annoying, but still a bit off. Guess I'm a lesser version of @Hands

Having tried both, I prefer the kiss sound because it allows more customization to the bass. The further you put the foam disk in, the harder the slam / faster energy. So naturally I put it way in there for some head-rattling impact. Whilst keeping the other hd650 tonalities in check.

..because you have Andros and a ZX2, hardly surprising :) May be slightly out of @TRex's current budget, though.

@JK47 @Kattefjaes the problem with Andro isn't the price (although it's $$$$) or sound (would be 10/10 perfect if it was a DD) but universal fit. Even Etymotics don't isolate as well as customs and universal hurt my tiny canals after a while.

Yeah, they don't fit my ears either- the capsule is too big and angular for me, and the nozzles too short- such a shame, I really like the sound. I use UM Martians right now, which are surprisingly comfy for universals.

It might not be BS. DAPs play by their own rules. They have a very limited power supply which everything runs off. Different firmwares sound different because different processor load affects the stability of the clock signal. Reading from a memory card might draw enough power to also affect clock stability. Though it's probably best not to think about it.

I heard they now make these from unobtanium nano tubes. This actually warps the sound signal into one dimension.

Now wait for the next shit storm. "Our brain configuration makes a difference too!" From 0s and 1s to impulses from audio waves, oh the complexity of it all...

Yes. It tends to want to stick to dynamat more than anything else. Do it like playdoh, dab the fresh bigger piece around the smaller remnants.

@Azteca Perfect tunes is Windows exclusive, unfortunately. And Room wouldn't do good enough; ID3 databases aren't very consistent. Even capitalization inconsistencies drive me mad! Thanks for the advice though.

@Kattefjaes yeah, we need an invention. Something called "Magic Tag" with patented "tagging with deep learning".

Oh, and note that in the original radio series of HHG, each episode has ~10 tracks, often with weird names.. Gnnnh. No one source of metadata was anything close to consistent in format through all episodes.

I'm not a big fan of any of his studio albums really. I consider Live John Mayer a separate artist and he has a big enough live catalog to make that work

If you get a chance to listen/buy locally, I really like Vandersteen. They are mostly floor standing and expensive to ship, though.
