Because as the cops in this country has shown time and again, escalation is always the right answer.

It's defense of home and property. The point is not being a victim while not having to use the weapons. El Lay is huge, and the number of cops per capita is small compared to other big cities.

This is what generations of oppression does to a society. I won't condone rioting, but I understand why it's happening.

I neither condone or condemn, but dumb actions beget dumb consequences. Great way to seed resentment and stay oppressed for another seven generations.

And really, this is just as much people getting frustrated from COVID lockdown. No jobs. No sports. Nothing to do. Nothing to lose. Floyd was the spark.

Defending one's home is different. I would stay home, stay safe, over defending one's business. Too many variables that could catch you off guard. Let the insurance take care of it. Keep you and your family safe.

Love how you think all cops are bad and escalate. I bet you don't even know a single cop or understand how difficult their job is.

Nice assumptions. In fact I have a couple LEOs in the family. Nor do I think all cops are bad.

I believe most insurance have broad "acts of God" and "civil disorder" exceptions to coverage.

At least one heartening thing happened today. Protesters stopped these dudes from looting an REI in Santa Monica. Brave little white girl shields the front door to the store.

I was a competitive Judo/Jiu Jitsu player for about twenty years. Most of the clubs I was a part of were 1/3 law enforcement (or more). Our society expects them to continuously fight with a class of criminal that knows just how far to go without getting shot (normally)
