Perhaps for the better. If the THX 789 is anything like the monoprice THX amp that I got, it's competent and inoffensive but unexciting. The Asgard 3 is the real deal by all accounts, I've been tempted to get one myself. I hope that you get it soon and enjoy it.

@MichaeLeroy Once I bought the 789 I had some buyers remorse, so I am actually kind of glad it got lost. It was a tossup between the 789 and A3, with my heart saying A3 but head saying 789. I hear great things about the A3, excited to get it in. Unfortunately Schiit is backordered on them so wont ship until end of month!

Have you thought about SW51 instead or in addition to A3?

@Gaspasser Yea I saw that, but at only about $10 below I just decided to wait the couple days because I am a bit of a stickler for aesthetic and would be sad if it actually had something super noticeable.

@Gaspasser I have looked at the SW51, but I am currently saving for a DNA Starlett. I was going to still pick up a SW51 after as I wanted to try it out, but I was just gonna try and save up for my TOTL tube first.

I’ve purchased several B-stocks from Schiit and mine have all appeared “new”. I have another B-stock otw at moment.

I would recommend hearing an SW51+

If you're getting a new SW51, expect to wait a while. If you needed an amp sooner, then the Asgard 3 would be a much faster option.

If you end up liking the Asgard 3, you'll also like the Starlett. The Asgard 3 is kind of like a solid state, mini Starlett.
