I'm not getting a Phillips 880 or 960 or a marantz 94, so those out. But I can get one of these TDA1541(A) player-transports: 1 Phillips CD304 mkII (CDM 1) 2 Arcam Alpha 5 (CDM 9/44) 3 Sony 337ESD (KSS-190A) 4 Magnavox CDB650 (CDM 2) any advice here, opinions? I will have to change voltage on all of them except the mag, so that's a factor ig, a small one.
want a player to tube clock mod, and then do nothing w. no more mods--no opamp rolling, no replacing caps, nothing, want one that just sounds good on its own two feet.
@k4rstar is a vintage CD guru as you probably already know from the thread. If he doesn’t respond here, try a DM.
A cdt is a lot like Pandoras box, what will happen after you open it??? Could you really close it again?
1. Get an old PC with an optical disk drive and a sound card. 2. Use it. 3. Decide it sounds great /nervosa lol.
2009 Mac Mini is definitely the best CDP I've heard anyways. No joke. That 3.5mm jack to RCA replaced my Yggdrasil.
