PRIMER: https://www.superbestaudiofriends.o...ne-intro-discussion-thread-3dp-version.10517/ IMPRESSIONS: https://www.superbestaudiofriends.o...sis-g-p-impressions-thread.10892/#post-345657 We're running two main tours. Each includes two headphones, ETA Genesis and Genesis P (AKA Gen and GenP), one Senn headband, one cable, alternate flat pads for Gen. Everything you need to plug and play. All tours launch (and roster settled) by 4/19/2021. GenP is identical to the standard Gen, but features modified Peerless 50mm low-impedance drivers and pads with additional perforations that we're offering at a reduced cost and building continuously as opposed to small batches like with the standard Gen. Terms: USA48 Friends only, contributors by discretion of ETA staff, max one week per person (shorter is preferred), impressions of both headphones posted in the thread at the beginning of this post. Normal SBAF shipping requirements, but USPS Priority Mail is allowed. There is no cap on the number of Friends allowed to join though preference may be shown to those with a long track record of meaningful impressions. The roster will be organized by geographical area with priority to those on the ETA build inquiry queue (if this is you, you know who you are). You may be shuffled after your name is put on the tour list. The roster is split into Eastern and Western US, with Texas as the cutoff for ‘West’. Note - While we encourage pad rolling with Gen, please do not use flat pads on GenP (there’s no front driver grill [yet] so it’s best if the pads stay on the whole time). Please do not poke at GenP’s hairscreens. Do not move or remove anything behind the Gen driver. Do not move Gen’s vent plugs. In the unlikely event that anything on either headphone gets dislocated, DM me for instructions on proper reassembly. For best performance, place your ear forward and upward within the pad ear cavity, with the headband angled slightly forward on your head. If you dislike bass or enjoy peaky or bright treble, do not sign up. GenP will show increased bass with even medium-OI amps (10 ohms+), it is very reactive. Just for the sake of amp pairings. Gen is 300 ohms and about as efficient as Senn 600 series. If you have already purchased the standard Gen but want to demo GenP we have another pair circulating right now and I’ll keep its current whereabouts updated below though there will be no formal schedule (it can bounce around on an as-needed basis and we may be open to one-off demos). If you’re in Canada, DM me and we can figure something out though it may take some time to squeeze additional Canada loaner pairs into the current production schedule.
