    Change in policy just makes it easier. If someone is interested, let me know ASAP even before the loaner is over. We were getting killed with the prior auction system getting cents on the dollar for spectacular products like the Ether C, MicroZOTL, etc. It also took a lot of my time as people would change their minds and back out before the blind auction was over.

    If someone is interested, I ask them to give me a price. I may or may not counter. So let this change in policy be official. This is at least more fair than a FS post which might only last a few days.

    Have double box in the house for the Holo Spring Dac. Fits really well, too. Everything's awesome, cause I 100% know the box its on will cause damage in the next few stops, otherwise. Its been off a day now, so it will need toaster time to sound good.

    Oh, source a Singxer for it, I had time in the end to test AES vs microrendu, and the USB was double blind 100% less transparent, less decay, less air. The warmup changed my initial impressions. I didn't check it but I2s should be good though?

    I'm going to pass on the Vinshine Audio DAC-R2R-REF loaner.

    While I'd suggested it as something Alvin should get in the hands of SBAF, mostly to get some feedback on it from "known ears" ... there doesn't seem to be much actual interest in it here (certainly not enough for anyone other than @sphinxvc and I to sign up for it). That doesn't make it feel worthwhile to spend time listening to it and then writing up proper impressions/reviews.

    Additionally I was under the impression this was an imminent thing, but it's been three weeks with no word beyond there apparently being one demo unit and it currently doing the rounds on the other side of the world. Given my decision to focus on analog for this year, and me spinning up a bunch of turntable auditions, the timing is probably going to be a long way from optimal now and it'd probably land in the middle of those auditions - which I'm not going to interrupt for something that, at this point, I'm extremely unlikely to buy (again, due to my deciding to focus on vinyl for the year ... excepting a possible dCS/MSB/Schiit/Metrum level shoot-out).

    So, I'm out on this one ... absent a sudden, significant, up-tick in overall SBAFer interest in it.

    Apologies for the delay. We're waiting for the final parts to be ready so that the 2nd batch DAC could be shipped out to fulfill the loaner program in the US.

    Update: Dorado is dead, Lyra II will continue on tour. Once we fix Dorado, it'll be back on track to you guys.
