I have not blue screened yet on 10 (couple years at this point). silent updates are annoying since they break the computer until reset, but otherwise has been ok. have you diagnosed what triggered the blue screens?

It's a bit of an odyssey, psu died then both my drives died. Installed windows on a brand new drive and it was fine until today when it blue screened again and now i can't boot into it at all.

Sounds like you've got some deeper issues with Windows 10. I've also not had any blue screens.

I hardly ever recommend these but maybe a power conditioner could help iron out some wrinkles with your electrcity since multiple components seem to be failing...

Haven't used the pc in about a year, came back and then my psu died, was definitely end of life, around 6 years old at this point. Drives were 9 and 6 years old. Power setup hasn't changed at all. Reinstalled windows again, holding out hope.

Have you tried testing the RAM? If the RAM is going too (which isn't crazy for that age) then that could be contributing as well.

Also sorry about your luck, computer issues are always an adventure down the rabbit hole to iron out.

I tried to memtest it for about an hour before i read that passing tests don't mean shit, need to let it run longer. Most likely a ram issue though, would explain why things seem fine and dandy for a little while then crash and burn.

I doubt that's windows fault. More likely something with ram, psu, motherboard etc. Win10 is really stable and one of the best they've made.

Yeah just blue screened again after some hours, bricked my install again. Just replaced the PSU so it's ram or Mobo. Yipee

Reseat your ram. Take it out, blow hard to clear dust (no spit please), and put it back in. Sometimes an easy fix. Also check MB is installed flat and correctly with spacer screws, not touching chassi etc.

Reseated ram before but this time i also swapped the slots, seems to be working fine now. If it suicides again it's probably time to change ram. Thanks mate @TwoEars

Got kernel data inpage error bsod again, Couldnt boot, memtest threw a million errors. Reseated it and then no errors. Think it's new motherboard, ram and cpu time. Thanks for your help
