Vaping annoys me but hey, let people do what they want as long as they harm no one. Actively marketing vapes to kids though? That's f'ing craven and just broken.

Saw a commercial for some vape device over the weekend, was a bit weird since cigarette ads have been banned from TV for some time. All the progress we've made as a society to stop kids from smoking and now vaping comes along and ruins everything.

"But vaping isn't as harmful, it can actually be healthy!" <I've been told this many times, that may be the case or not but some people just don't like inhaling clouds of smoke.

The further you read the article the more sleazy the rep gets.

So many people Vaped in high school. And so many people at college do to. The juul is used by many.

@Cspirou the article somewhat attempts to explain this but it’s still not really clear to me.

I would like an answer as to what the hell the admin was thinking. When I was a V.P. we never would of allowed this. Rouge teacher? I can say my last few years teaching we were having a problem with students sneaking out into the parking lot because they couldn’t finished the period without a hit. Already addicted at 14.

This is very odd. "[A] Juul representative spoke to his class as part a 'mental health [and] addiction seminar' where teachers were asked to leave the room." Why were the teachers asked to leave? Presentation scheduled by an "outside" group that sent a Juul rep?

Moreoever, all statements re: safety are solely within the purview of the regulator, so this rep should be fired.
