Free to good homes: two Heerlen ECC88 pairs

I recently bought @Olor1n's Valhalla 2, and, since I already had a bunch of tubes, I asked if I could buy it from him without the extra pairs of input tubes he had accumulated. @Olor1n agreed, but in an access of generosity sent me his two extra pairs anyway when he sent the amp.

In the spirit of YO HO HO, it would be nice to distribute @Olor1n's generosity onwards to other homes in need of winter warmth (in the mids). I have to give away, separately:

1) one pair of Heerlen ECC88 tubes from 1963
2) one pair of Heerlen ECC88 tubes from 1974

Friends and other active forum members, if you or someone you know could make good use of these, PM me your intentions for them (eg "isolation mounting my EC Studio"). I'll be aiming to ship them to someone next Thursday 15th. I will pay shipping to you if you donate the same to SBAF.

 

I wouldn't mind them. My pre-amp chews through e88cc like nothing else. However there is probably someone out there who need them more than I.

 

I can use them if available.

I would like for one of them, for my Mjolnir since they are till using stock 6BZ7 tubes

 

I would be interested in trying one in my Vali 2 since I'm still on stock but I understand if this would be considered a waste of a matched pair.

I am sorry that I did not have more pairs as I will have to disappoint a bunch of you! But in the end:

- one pair of these wil be on their way to @Cspirou for a phono preamp project
- the other pair will be split by @DigMe and @jexby for their Vali 2's

In the spirit of the season I'm willing to add in a couple of tubes to 2 potential Vali users who didn't get one in @Garns giveaway.
What I'm giving away is 2 Amperex ECC88 Bugle Boy D-getters without date-codes, but I think they're from the late fifties. I'll post pictures later today.

I'll pay for shipping if you donate same amount to SBAF.
I would prefer to ship within EU, just because I'm lazy and outside EU means filling out customs declaration.

Oohh I am interested Changeling, As I said before on this thread, I only have Vali with 6BZ7 tubes, so I am interested in trying these Amperex tubes.
