@MarcoGV I do miss the bass texture of those biocelluloce drivers, they had somethin special goin on with em. Might get a new pair cause my only closed backs are ciems and they're a hassle

@BioniclePhile Thought that might be it. Glad it's not the driver like how those old Sony models literally could rot away in high humidity. Might be a time to ask around for an alternative ear-pad to try.

I long for the day a dongle can beat my 2021 16” MacBook Pro, but it takes a Modi MB + Piety/ new Magni to easily beat it. I don’t feel like putting that stack at my open desk at work works, but the headphone jack makes any dongle or (any comparable priced) all-in-one sound like a moot point so far.

Maybe I’m behind the times, but I’m comparing an HD600 on the Magni Uber (2?) to my MacBook and as a Schiithead, I feel like the MacBook is evenly matched.

I ordered a Modi Multibit 2 to try with a Piety. And a Sys to also run another RCA cable to my SW51+ :P

Yeah, if you don't like music, gear ain't gonna fix it. In fact, I'v found that gear can affect how I enjoy music. For example, Metallica's Load and their albums after that are all so compressed that I'm starting to think they sound better on lo-fi cans like HD558. It needs to be blurred.
