  Yet I'm curious about the Modi+ or the upcoming Modi Multibit for a more elegant stack. I have the original Modi Multibit on hand (V2 with the dithering chip), but it's kinda too organic and not resolving enough.

  Not that I like any price increase, but I am surprised they were able to hold it down for as long as they did.

  What about the Matrix X-SPDIF 2? Somewhat pricey, but seems to be pretty well built. Plus I2S and AES for the future.

  The Matrix is interesting, but the price is too much for me. You're right. I should probably sell MM, Eitr, Modius (not sure yet though), and save some money for a BF2 + shipping to Canada (argh!). I really wish I could give a second life to my MM. I love the better imaging, depth, and the thickness/note weight of the MM compared to the Modius. The Modius has better technicalities, especially because of Unison.
