    Bass on 51+ is tighter and more correct. It’s that last step your optometrist dials in at the end of an eye exam. They are so close but the SW is just tighter in all ways. It sounds really dialed in and speakerish in tone.
    
    Using GE JAN tubes on ZDT JR. Stock on 51+.

    It's my reference. Class A, solid state, internal power supply, RK27 POT.
    
    My previous go-to was a ZDT Jr, which is getting an RK27 POT installed soon. Not the most neutral, but it's a lot of fun.

  Weirdest thing. SW51 is the first amp I recall hearing that projects soundstage in front of me instead of slightly behind.

    I love the staging of the SW51. it's rather deep, but not too wide, and yes, definitely puts instruments in front of you instead of between-the-ears. Not sure about wraparound staging, I've never heard that before, but I do like the SW51's way of presenting musical information.

  Found one minor issue with my Piety. It has a scratchy pot. It's only when I turn it, so it's not a real problem. :)
