Hopefully you keep listening to the songs (except maybe Revolution #9). I never knew anyone to change their mind on that one. My cousin recorded it to RtR and we listened to it backwards during the "Paul is Dead" publicity stunt. It was fun and mysterious. (We were still kids.) The local Free-Form FM station played up that stunt - big time.

Most (all?) of the songs were composed while The Beatles were in India. Giles Martin is supposed to remix "The White Album" this year. (Why? To make it sound modern.) If he does like "Sgt. Pepper" it will be compressed to the point I won't be able to enjoy listening to it.

I recorded it on cassette and then cut out that piece of the tape, flipped it and taped it back together to hear the famous "Paul is dead."

I never tried a real NOS DAC before, nor have any 192kHz/24bit music files to push-out to an Yggdrasil, to get the same-type of "NOS-mode" effect of sorts. So it's also on my: To-do / Wish list.

Any worthy NOS / NOS+R2R DACs on the horizon, to look out for & save up on?

Long story short. Bought it and immediately sent for repair. The Lynx is still marginally better

I use the lynx. I agree it's still a better solution :).

yeah agree with bill. hey @Bill-P how does bone conductance play into it, or is that more of a foam vs silicon thing?

I think it's that when they're placed closer to your ear drums, vibrations transmit more efficiently/uniformly with the smaller volume of air. When they're further away, due to ear curvature, and larger air volume, transmission is a bit less efficient, and you hear less bass due to that.

I'm avoiding "bone conduction" because it's a whole other can of worms that I'm unqualified to even speculate on. :P
