Listened to "Sony end game" DMP-Z1>Z1R for a while at a sony store, really closed in, wierd disjoint mid~high and aggressive sibilance.

Not sure if it's the headphone or the player, definitely not a $10k sound I would imagine. The vinyl function on the player is pretty good tho, smooth things out a bit.

Got the 560v4 in, no treble fuckery and comfort is comparable to HD6X0 series. Need some burn in and balanced cable for proper evaluation.

Looking forward to more thoughts on this (Adorama version, right?). Hav had an itch for orthos for a while and having had the 560 no less than three times in the past (and enjoyed it a lot), I'd be down to get it again if the treble improved. Curious if you find it macro-dynamically limited (as I did previous vers) ?

This is the adorama version, macro seems OK from BHA-1 SE out. Bass extends low but not so meaty. Having an exam coming so will update next week.

That is a AC voltmeter which came with the chassis. I didn't want extra light at night and those wires are too short anyway, so I left it hanging.

Not sure if it affects the sound but it kinda eliminate the vibration I got from sliding my finger across the amp while holding my charging phone.

Figure that the hum on my SW51+ was actually from being too close to Bifrost 2. The solution? To elevate BHA-1 and separate them.

Bifrost is electric field shielded but not magnetic field shielded. Power transformers and amplifier output transformers should not be co-located.

I have no idea, it was working in the living room, then I brought it back to my room, plug in and turn on, full of red horizontal line on screen. Tried different power cable still same result so I brought it back out to living room, using the original power cord, and it just died. Got the smell after opening up the chassis.
