I tried the combo previously with SFD1 mkii and it was just good. With MIB this combo now has much more detail, space and the tone is much, much more natural and lively.

You need at least two, also you can't half ass it and expect good results. A proper crossover is crucial ime. Makes setup 10x easier as well.

I feel like a viable upgrade path is bookshelf -> add a sub -> towers

When I went to a lot of concerts, I would ask the musicians who they listened to and the majority said Ani DiFranco. I’ve been listening to her the last 20 years.

I was familiar with some of her stuff from back in the 90s, but have literally not heard anything she's done since then. This was a very pleasant surprise.

I really like AMG and it is an extremely valuable resource. I enjoy using it as a part of Roon. However their pitch seems to be “support us or we will annoy you with ads and throttling”.

Good to hear; I miss using Allmusic. It's a similar business model to the airlines (pre-pandemic): make the customer experience miserable unless they upgrade

Lol, that said I was thinking that initially about SW51 when Jason put that copy up for the Jot 2. Although there are some nice amps at the $2k range. Jot 2 better be the beez kneez for most of us to drop the SW51 for it.

At the moment I'm sorta planning on having both... Jot2 for SS duty and SW51+... may end up being silly but we'll see who gets the last laugh! Just sold my zdt jr and trying to sell liquid platinum. After i got auteur told myself i would sell clears but havent been able to bring myself to list them yet...
