After college, I want to get a Miata (NA of course) and do a crazy build. See how much HP you can get in that little car.

For an NA, much above for 180 hp you'll need a new clutch, 200 hp you'll need a strnger diff, 220 you'll need an upgraded gearbox, and so it goes. A NA with 180 hp will be a lot of fun. All this to the wheels measurement.

All this time has given me time to work on my party playlist. Song suggestions? I don't listen to this music, but I have the big speakers.

Dee-Lite "Groove Is In the Heart", Right Said Fred "I'm Too Sexy", Missy Elliot "Get Ur Freak On" (for starters!), Dua Lipa "Physical" (for starters!).

Missy Elliot and Dua Lipa have so many bangers, so yeah "for starters!" Try to make themed party play lists. Benefits the vibe because jumping from G-Funk to House can really throw a guest off.

Yeah, that is one thing, it is unorganized and there can be a big change in mood. For the most part though, we have these two guys that DJ for us, they bring their dj mixer and laptop with music, hook up to my big JBL speakers, and then the party happens.
Got out my measurement mic once, measured about 102 dB about 3 feet from the speakers.

Oxygene by Jean-Michel Jarre is just so good. All 3 albums. Good music to do homework to, and good to just chill and listen to.

As long as it doesn't get too hot, shouldn't be all that bad. But given how fucking hot my car gets inside during the summer, I wouldn't put a tube amp in it.

The crazy AKGs are fun but feed them enough power. Find a K240 Monitor or K240 DF and you might be set. Of course you might fall for the charm of the sextetts. If you want to go crazy, get the K340 and cherish it. (The Philips variants can be picked up for almost nothing!)

Output transformers sing with or without load. I would say there will be no arcing. The reason for 'singing' is the magnetostriction and kinda loose construction of airgapped transformer.

And they're probably in a tiny volume compared to a normal spaeker cab, too! Quite amazing how having a small "pressure chamber" helps with bass extension.

Yeah, plus I like android auto, I can have my music and maps right on the screen there. Still have volume buttons, wish I had a knob, but I am working on making a knob. The eq is nice and easy to use though, as is the time alignment. Sounded really good, and I didn't even have my new amp in yet.

Now it seems like most of these DSP things for cars are unneeded, unless going with active crossovers and such, as most head units have a ton of DSP built in. I can actually do an active crossover with my head unit if I were to sacrifice my rear speakers.

Also mounted my bass control knob discreetly next to the dash light brightness control.https://i.imgur.com/h8kCHJ0.jpg

Got some Focal ISS 165 components for the front, going to get the matching coaxials for the rear later. KnuKonceptz Kno Knoise Kolossus sound deadener, using in front doors for now, will order more for rear doors when I do those speakers, and maybe eventually treat cargo area/hatch and roof.
