So if I want ultimate clarity and resolution with a nice semi-deep layered stage, it's either a multi-kilobuck tube amp or what else?

So far I've had good results from feeding BHA-1 or Black Amp with Freya+ tube stage. Just got Lyr3 in today and it's better for VC (to my ears in my system) than Jot2.

So far nothing beats Af. But I can't afford 2 of those and I like variety (and need amp#2 for the bedroom). So what else will get me where I want to be without spending $2k?

I think Af+VC have ruined solid state for me. I want huge soundstage while I peer into the music's soul. SS sounds flat now. Am I broken?

Buzzer saves $ too! When I started I worried about cutting my ears off, but after a few years I now have the hang of it (and there's less to cut every time - still grows fast, just not thick).

masks is not enough. To be sure of not infecting another person, would want lab-standard discipline, and probably, they should be protected too.

Masks is not enough... but it is a good start. The biggest problem with mask wearers here is the high number of them that seem to think that the chin is the organ of infection.

Do you have any particular reason to go for pi2aes? That's anyhow toys for those who can raspberries (I mean.. troubleshoot) themselves or enjoy tech challenge bs. I don't think it terribly difficult though.

Asking this because schiit dacs already had unison. Haven't tried pi2aes but anything raspberries I tested before wasn't worthy enough over decent usbs.

It's for a bedroom rig I'm setting up where I have limited space and I couldn't think of a better solution. Plus I kinda wanted to see what the fuss is about. Audirvana (via Android app) is annoying in my main rig with its connection delays and I'm hoping pi2aes may be different.

Hey man, I watched Thundercats, G.I. Joe, Transformers, M.A.S.K., Voltron...no worries. Once you flash the micro-SD card, the most difficult thing is finding the IP address of your Pi that your router assigned. I always recommend to people to use an Ethernet cable at first, but moOde is one of the easiest becasue you just go to http://moode:local. There are some YouTube videos out there.
