The new AMD APUs are actually extremely promising if the reviews and benchmark scores are accurate. Sub $250 for a processor capable of running most modern titles at 1080p with 30-60fps, which makes for a good stop-gap until the mining hype dies down.

@Melvillian Luckily it hasn't been TOO terribly long since I last upgraded my video card so I will just keep my OC'ed GeForce 970 that is in my current setup until GPU's are reasonable again.

I was thinking about rebuilding my PC this year. Afraid to say, it's not going to happen until Meltdown and Specter get fixed in the hardware layer. Maybe video cards will be reasonable by then.

Woman King EP is prob my most enjoyed one but I should give the new one another listen!

It has been a slow-grower for me. I liked the first 2 tracks pretty quickly but the rest has grown on me a lot.

"Last Night" is quite a fun track to listen to. I'm liking it.

I love that. Dave Grohl is pure Rock(tm) all the way. Anyone who will finish the show with a broken leg has to mean it more than usual.

I was at a Better Than Ezra concert in New Orleans and they pulled up some dude to play on a song and was killing it. Then after the song ended, he went into the opening riff of Sweet Child o' Mine. They had to stop so the bass player could get a quick rundown of the song, but they played it!

I haven’t really had any thoughts about if it’s “better” or not. One’s a miniseries and one’s a movie. His technique though of combining doc w/ dramatic re-enactment has gotten way better.

It’s hard to compare because the Thin Blue Line was so groundbreaking in its time. Much like Hoop Dreams. Both laid the groundwork for so many docs to come.

I will say this though - the scale of the revelations that we learn about in Wormwood are massive and there could be more to come out of it someday.

I swear... every time I listen to Sleepytime I'm at a loss as to what I could listen to afterwards. Such a satisfying song.

I'm not the biggest SGM fan, but strangely enough, that's the only SGM cd I own.

It's easily my fave.

Caveat, I do have smaller ears (2"x1.5"), so not sure how people with bigger flappers might find the opening on these. Headband issues are news to me, but at least in my recent experience MD is great about helping people out. Also, yeah, forgot to mention the isolation is definitely top-notch, you don't have to crank the volume up to immerse yourself.
