All my gear is made or designed from before I was born, other than amp. Anyone have a pre-1999 amp they want to sell? Jul 4, 2020 at 9:03 PM

Colorado is beautiful. Just took a nice drive through the mountains, and a nice hike.

Yeah, Ill try to avoid high bear activity time/places. Only big/dangerous animal I have ever seen was a bobcat in CT, but those are mostly afraid of people.

@zerodeefex We always have bears wandering around my neighborhood. Dunno how many times I've caught one on my front security cam. Oh, and mountain lions too. And way too many deer. The deer are probably the most dangerous of them all, seeing as they jump out in front of cars.

Got to hear a $1 million speaker system today. 2 21" subs, and big speakers. Pretty nice. $1000000 is a little steep though...

Single ones can be used to denote quotation *within* a quote, though the one who made the listing seemed to be using them as a byway towards stressing certain words, as I did with asterisks :))

"Singles quotes though, same character as apostrophe."

Same character but not the same thing. Try the book "Eats shoots and leaves." Although, so far, I only made it through a couple of chapters. Still probably one of the most readable books on this stuff, that matters deeply to language lovers and programmers.

Active crossover with DSP, 80w to each front woofer, tweeters running active at whatever wattage they need, rear coaxials, and 2 10" subs in the back on 350w. Install went mostly well, I only did a few questionable things.

Car listening experience is something different. Can really feel bass in such a small area. Plus here at home I don't have room for speakers, only speakers at college. So it will be my "main" speaker system.

Never occurred to me but having a car audio system be your main one is really interesting. I've never had a quality car setup, but like you have always enjoyed how hard hitting lots of speakers in a small closed cabin can be.

TS100 with silicon cable and battery bank is nice. Especially for work on a car. For bench use can't go wrong with used pro Weller. I'd pass on the consumer Wellers and similar.

For an NA, much above for 180 hp you'll need a new clutch, 200 hp you'll need a strnger diff, 220 you'll need an upgraded gearbox, and so it goes. A NA with 180 hp will be a lot of fun. All this to the wheels measurement.
