If the Verite Closed is anything like the open Verite, it'll sound better as it burns in. Needs a bit of run-in to really showcase layering and driver control, but doesn't sound bad before that.

@ChaChaRealSmooth They’re second hand so probably already there. It did take my brain a little while to adjust. The Auteurs have more of a mid bass hump which I kind of like so may do some pad swapping. Completely blows away the Auteurs on technicalities though

The only headphone left I want to trial at home. Something's telling me it will have great synergy on my setup.

@imackler mine lived for 6 months and then died on me, I liked those too! I miss them often, which I can't necessarily say of most gear that's come and gone

AKG used be one of the best in this department. Their semi-experimental Sextett headphones with the right amount of power, that warm sound with some slam behind it was so nice.

Took a few trips to that beautiful land when I lived in Alaska.. the breathtaking beauty was never lost on me every time I visited. I felt something very sacred every time I went hiking there. If you've got the time, head up to Chena hot Springs in FAI !

Been to Chena a few times. That’s where I proposed to my wife 22 years ago. Nothing like soaking in their outdoor pool watching the Northern Lights when it’s -40.

Won’t be doing that this time though. Can’t take that much time off
