Been waiting for Jot 2 to ship for over two weeks. Boohoo. :)

Felt like I was rolling the dice on both. But the Monarch is an incredible value as a neutralish + technical IEM with a fine sub-bass tilt that will make heads bob and booties shake. I strongly prefer it to the only other pricey IEM's I've heard: UM Mest, CFA Atlas and Solaris (OG).

DX160 sucks at everything (interface, wifi, battery) but sound. Don't pay full price but balanced out on this makes the Monarchs sing.

These guys will go down in history as some of the greatest pop songsmiths ever. But what a reminder that few things breed more contempt and life-chaos than run-away commercial success.

I have been curious about the Monolith True Wireless they just released. Looks like they are doing the same approach of not tuning them and relying on Sonarworks though, as they are majorly promoting that collaboration.

Shoot, now I'm having a look at it. Not a bad move to apply DEQ to that category where sound quality still matters, but isn't necessarily king.

Yeah, at $100 on sale for black friday, if comfort isn't terrible, call quality is solid, and battery life isn't terrible... Maybe worth a whirl? I am just so not a DEQ guy, but probably only way they are tolerable

To my ears, the Aeolus sounds like a Super HD650.

Isn't this the third holy grail campfire IEM? Listen for yourself. Also with HD650 it must be specified the tier of amp driven, low to mid tier maybe, Stellaris, Studio, Teton...not a chance in hell.

Definitely hope to get some quality time with a ZMF headphone someday, especially some of those models.

Enya Watermark was good demo music in the late 80's. I sold a lot of speakers with that stuff. It sounds good on anything.

Bifrost 2-->Liquid Platinum-->HD600/650 is feeling pretty done to me. Very clean sound with enough warmth to keep me happy. Happily throwing my newfound cash into a Dolby Atmos setup.

I think he made an important distinction between trying new things and chasing perfection. Variety is the spice of life, but the perfect is the enemy of the good, as they say.

It goes in cycles. The main thing is to not get caught up in the spending cycle and evaluate over long periods of time.
