I do not want to admit how often I have been thwarted by child locks in my 20s and 30s. I just miss them sometimes, okay??? May 13, 2024 at 6:36 AM

We had a cyclone, the year after the flood. Made a mess of our city; lost many trees. Despite my realistic expectations, we still had our one tall tree, car port, water tanks. I think we got a bit of shelter.

Still, it put on one hell of a show: heavy monsoon-type rain moving sideways in the wind!

        Tropical life, eh?

Yes. Four deaths at last count which makes me angry. I'm glad that my area wasn't affected as much as I feared but at the same time I'm just f'ing livid. People are making the best of it but there's still thousands displaced, no power, no clean water.

Thus freedom to agree or to face prison. Unless you rule the people and can get away with breaking the rules. As if Machiavelli's mockery of the Florence's Medici was taken literally. The younger generations can only be held back for so long...

@Thad E Ginathom Haha, it's in reference to a Japanese horror flick from the 90s called The Ring— I love many from this era (e.g. Kairo, Ju-On, Black Water, One Missed Call), they have a uniquely unsettling vibe. There's an English remake that's actually quite decent, I recommend either if you think you might enjoy Asian horror :)

@Thad E Ginathom The 3M Filtrete stuff is great for house dust and maybe pollens, does nothing for PM25, which is the long term health damaging particle range. It's great for keeping the insides of computers clean too. I can post sensor screenshots if you'd like.

Weeb is a shorter version of weeaboo which is a catch all term for anime fans outside of Japan.

Psycho Pass was an anime with a lot of western sci fi influences. Season 1 was great, season 2 was trash, the movie was nice. Season 3 has me nervous.

I'm in the psych field so was leery about gratuity there as well, but putting the fact that I'm easily irritated by how mental illness is often portrayed in cinema aside, the film was just great at pulling on the right strings to keep me on seat's edge.
